God Made Him as HUMOR with a PASSION for Christ !!

“LASALLE, LASALLE” is a DYNAMO!! Like electric sparks, words fire from his brain onto his tongue!!.....Such wise and profound words….serious and cutting….with a smile. You will be in the middle of a side-splitting laugh when you realize he is stepping all on your toes!!! You can’t stop laughing, so you can’t get mad …. Therefore his motto……“LAUGH and LEARN”!!

He’s blessed with the innate ability to incorporate everyday living into humor for the times. Several instances during our Black History program we found him making normal, everyday happenings immensely funny as they occurred before our eyes! If I had not known better, I would have thought they had been pre-rehearsed!! I now feel it was all part of the Master’s plan for him to be gifted with this ability.

Just before the planning of our program I had unexpected dental and gall bladder surgery. I love humor and laughter and Elder made sure I received lots of the beneficial endorphins released from the laughter to help me with my healing!!

I am thankful for such a caring spirit that he possesses. It was during this time that we had the opportunity to speak of his love and respect for his mother, a dear friend of mine, of whom I, also have a great deal of love and respect. Having previously read his website, and observed, with a great amount of AWE, the amount of space dedicated to the honor he has for his mother, I was not too surprised when he said he wanted to do something special for her during the program. HOWEVER, I WAS pleasantly shocked, when, at the program, he presented her with…. FOURTEEN NEW, DESIGNER SUITS!!! One to represent each of her children!!!! Everyone in the church roared their surprise and approval and gave him and his mother a standing ovation!!!!!  

At this point, I would like to mention that “LASALLE” himself, is no shabby dresser!!! Quite debonair, he cut a handsome figure with suits that spoke of such class and elegance!!! He even had one with a bit of humor. I know he must have changed FOUR OR FIVE times within that 90 minute period!!! GOD has blessed him to be able to do these things and he does not apologize for the ability to wear what he wants. He is able to gift who he pleases, AND he is proud of the fact that God blessed him to be able to have his own house built at the age of 28. He acknowledges that this is a WONDERFUL and MIGHTY “ GOD WE SERVE!!!  

FINALLY, AT the end of our rainbows, we are all expecting our prize. Well, I truly believe that God blesses us with surprise gifts here on earth. Such was my delight to be included, at the end of the program, when he presented a gift to his sister, Sharonda, one he wanted to show love and appreciation for all the thing she does to support his endeavors. We were the ones to be recipients of a beautiful designer suit from the Elder’s Boutique of Collections. What a way to show care and gratitude! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!
